QMG's Restaurant Public Relations Services

To get you noticed and build your name, we offer a mixture or all of the following restaurant public relations services, which you can choose on a by-the-project basis or as part of a cost-effective monthly retainer:

Restaurant Public Relations Strategy and Publicity Campaigns
Every client has different objectives. QMG works with each client to determine those goals and then formulate the strategy that will best accomplish the mission. Simply put, we learn where you are and where you want to be, and then we develop a Restaurant PR campaign to help you get there.

Press Release Writing, Editing and Distribution
As a former staff writer and editor for newspapers and magazines, and as a nationally published freelance writer, QMG Public Relations Director Jeff Louderback understands what editors and reporters are looking for in a story. What interests one publication may not intrigue another. QMG's restaurant public relations team will craft a restaurant press release written in journalistic style - which editors and reporters prefer rather than self-serving marketing verbiage. Then, using the comprehensive database of media contacts - Bacon's Media Source - they will send the press release to appropriate print, Internet and broadcast media outlets and follow up to encourage journalists to cover the story.

Writing Services
In addition to press releases, QMG writes and edits electronic and print newsletters; brochures and marketing collateral; Web site content; biographies of business owners, executives and key staff members; company histories; ghostwritten articles and columns; and bylined features.

Press Kits
When reporters write stories on your company, they need information on your products and/or services, and details about you as an entrepreneur and business owner. Your media kit will serve as a tool that provides reporters with essential information about you and your company. Elements of a media kit can include press releases, fact sheets, biographies on key staff members, product and/or service brochures, newsletters, company histories and reprints of previously published features on your company. QMG can develop print and/or electronic press kits that tell your company's story in a way that sparks the interest of reporters.

Media Relations
QMG thinks ink. That means developing different story angles for different print and online publications, and broadcast media outlets. We match the message to the medium, and shape the pitch to sell the story. QMG's clients appear in local, regional and national newspapers; trade publications; business, travel and lifestyle, and general interest magazines, custom publications; online publications; and on radio and TV.

Restaurant Press Trips/Press Parties

First-hand experience with your restaurant is the most ideal way to get journalists to write favorable stories about you. This is why press trips and press parties are effective publicity tools.

At QMG, our approach is to develop a plan that explores all possible stories and then invite those journalists who have a track record for getting published.

Press parties are more geared for local and regional media. This involves inviting reporters of newspapers, magazines, TV stations and radio stations in your area to experience your restaurant first-hand.

You can use the event to introduce the media to your restaurant (if you are just opening). If you are an existing restaurant, you can use a restaurant press party to promote new entrees and/or wines and drinks, or just to reacquaint the media with your menu and ambiance. You can even have special themed press parties, such as a Valentine's Day event, or a mass proposal event (where you invite numerous men to propose to their girlfriends in your restaurant on the same night).
